PRAYING TIMES!

Fervent prayer...Fresh power!

"Call unto me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."

—Jeremiah 33:3

This is an updated electronic edition of a November/December 2006 printed publication of this newsletter with the topic, "AMERICA at the CROSSROAD."

It is obvious that America is still at the crossroad as the November 2008 presidential election rapidly approaches.  It will be the determining factor that sets this nation on the course of change—not just change we can believe in, which is Barack Obama's campaign slogan, but change that will either negatively or positively impact us all— our society, our national and international status as a leading country, our spiritual climate, and even our foreign relations.

This is a critical time in America.  The world is watching. Our enemies are on standby.  Our allies are waiting for results—negative and positive, and how those results will impact relations and decisions.

Whenever there is new leadership at any level in an organization, company, or government, there will be change.  More importantly, the changes that accompanies new leadership are accepted by some and rejected by others.  One hundred percent satisfaction is impossible for man, but with God all things are possible.

Therefore, as God's representatives and ambassadors we are positioned to believe the impossible.  We are "change agents" and have been empowered and authorized to handle the King's business until He returns (Matthew 25:14-30).

The first thing we must do is repent of our slothfulness in handling business and for not denying self by investing our time, talents and resources in the Kingdom of God. But instead, allowing principalities, powers, and wickedness in high places rule.  Repentance is requisite for our restatement, restoration and reconciliation. . Having this understanding, we are placed in position to declare and decree the Word of God through prayer over this nation, this people, this world, our families, churches, and our communities. This time is now... Yes! These are praying times.  The wind of the Holy Spirit is blowing!  There is a sound that resonates in the soul.  It penetrates the very core of our being.  It is connecting us in the spirit of unity.

Don't expect what has always been to always be. This speaks of change.  To change a nation is to change it people; to change the people is to change a mindset that controls behavior.  The mindset change must first take place in the church (the called out).  To change the course of America requires  responsibility and personal accountability.

The decision to change not only rests with this country's leaders.  The greater responsibility rest upon the people of God—the Church of Jesus Christ.  WE are the ones with the power and authority to align the earth realm with God's will (Matthew 16:19).  We do it through PRAYER!  From this perspective, the question of change should posed to the Church first.  Moreover, the answer to the question about change lies within the power of the Church of Jesus Christ.

As we prepare for the upcoming election in November,  unmistakably  change is upon us.  The severity of  change will be in the hands voters.  We must be prepared to accept it even if it upsets the status quo, and exposes some ugly truths about our imperfections and wickedness.  God's mercy is everlasting and in truthful summation: Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom He has chosen as His own inheritance (Psalm 33:12).

These are PRAYING TIMES!  Will you commit to calling upon the name of Lord? Remember He said, "Call unto me and I will answer and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."
